For many years, pleasure boaters of all descriptions have been drawn to scenic Lake Lanier in Georgia, a recreational paradise located just 45 minutes north of Atlanta .Since 1993, it has also been home to the Lanier Harbor Marina Poker Run, an event that has attracted thousands of locals and boaters from neighboring states for a weekend of boating fun in mid-August.
Working closely with this event's founder, Florida Powerboat Club will be continuing this tradition, by offering a three-day weekend format that includes luxurious accommodations at first-class resort, a Saturday poker run complete with aerial photography and video, social gatherings & poker run parties, and a fabulous raftup party on Sunday to top it off! |

The new format for this event keeps it fun for the locals, but we've gone the extra distance to make it much easier for the out-of-town boater to trailer in for a weekend of boating fun. All of the FAQ's including, what's the best place to stay? Where do we launch the boat and park the trailers? ..and How can we find our way around the lake if we've never been there? All of these concerns are addressed in our planning format. So whether you're from Florida , Georgia or out-of-state, the Lake Lanier Poker Run is a great summer get-away, so please join us! |

50' Houseboats have become very popular with boaters visiting Lake Lanier .

This event will take place on Saturday Aug. 7 th . Poker run checkpoints are scheduled to open from 10AM until 4 PM .
There are no classes of boats and no speed contests.
This event places a high priority on safety and fun! |

In excess of $10,000 in cash and prizes at this time, but with more sponsorship still coming in, the prize purse may grow tremendously by August!

The Event Fee: $400 per boat , covers captain and first mate.
The fee includes:
All event planning, making reservations for rooms, dockage and trailer parking; (note: does not include payment for any above items) One poker run hand, helicopter photo and video package, souvenir tees for your crew, poker run functions including the welcome reception & kickoff party, Saturday poker run party and Sunday raftup party at Cocktail Cove.
Extra crew $50pp.
Extra poker hands: $50 (max four per boat)
Powerboat Clubs: If you have a boat club or number of boaters that want to attend as a group, we will work out a promotional package for your organization.
Any group with (10) or more entered teams may receive one free entry and
special recognition in the event video.
Requirements:
All attendees must have proof of insurance for boats and are required
to attend the compulsory captains meeting.
