When
Florida Powerboat Club conducts photo and video coverage of our events,
we provide our members with copies for their exclusive personal use. This
includes mini-photo albums to pass around among friends or custom photo
enlargements that we provide for the office or home. Technically, the
club office owns the negatives and members are given the right to use
them as part of their club event fees.
Regarding electronic use, if you scan images for your PC, creating personal
wall-paper or sending an email to a friend, this also falls in the category
of personal use. Florida Powerboat Club members are not permitted to provide
or endorse the use of photos for commercial means other than to sell their
boat in a classified ad. If the photos are used in dealer or manufacturer
advertising either in print or on any sort of internet website without
the express permission of the Florida Powerboat Club, this is a copyright
violation and is against the law.
