KEY WEST Poker Run reaches 130 teams...All lodging is near Sell Out!

More than 130 poker run teams from United States, Canada and Europe are now confirmed for participation on the 19th Annual Key West Poker Run Festival, an event that features a flexible format for participants, ranging from three days to as many as seven continuous days of boating fun in the Florida sun! Four departure days are scheduled, commencing Tuesday Nov 8th, and running all week through Friday the 11th, as hundreds of powerboaters take an adventurous journey over the 165 mile course from Miami through the scenic Florida Keys to Key West.
MERCURY RACING returns as the presenting sponsor for the 2011 event, and promises a factory mobile marketing vehicle with product displays and official Mercury Racing merchandise for sale at the Key West Poker Run Village, located at 631 Greene St. "We are happy to be back supporting the Florida Powerboat Club, and there's no better event than the Key West Poker Run for Mercury Racing to have a strong presence!" reported Rick Mackie, Senior Marketing Manager for the Wisconsin-based brand.More than twenty other sponsoring companies will join Mercury Racing to display their products both in-water and on land, at this popular hot spot, which is adjacent to the Conch Republic Seafood company in the Key West Historic Seaport.
Expanded Poker Run Village: FPC promises a larger and more exciting poker run village in Key West, as the entire display area expands all the way to Simonton Street, creating a footprint that is now one entire city block, and features the top names in the performance marine industry that have come out to support the Florida Powerboat Club and the poker run sport! Along with return sponsors that include Cigarette Racing, Boatsdirectusa.com, Deep Impact, Pier 57, Shogren Performance and Sunsation Powerboats, to name just a few.
Skater Nation Makes Big Debut: There will also be some new additions to the lineup. Skater Nation, South Florida's newest entry to the performance boating world, along with Chief Performance and Powerboat Nation, has placed customer hospitality as a top priority, by announcing exciting plans to entertain many poker run teams with a high level of customer service which will no doubt raise the bar in the world of recreational powerboating.

KEY WEST NEAR SELL OUT: This City of Key West has encountered a higher demand for accommodations than ever before, as several weddings scheduled for the coveted 11-11-11 date, are in direct conflict with the poker run dates. While dockage availability does not appear to be a problem, this has put an overload on available accommodations, and all boaters who have not registered for the poker run, may need the assistance of the FPC staff to help secure reservations. If you have NOT yet registered, please do so immediately and please call the FPC office to discuss your room requirements. The office is open weekdays, 10am to 5pm.. at 954-545-1414.
